A 19-year-old man is set to appear in the Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s Court on Friday, January 2, over allegations involving two children in Makotse New Stand, Limpopo. The victims, a seven-year-old girl and a nine-year-old boy, were reportedly harmed on Wednesday, December 31.
According to provincial police spokesperson Col. Malesela Ledwaba, the children had been playing at a neighbour’s home when the suspect allegedly lured them to his residence, where he is accused of exposing them to inappropriate material and committing acts described as sexual assault. The children’s guardian became concerned when they did not return, found them crying at the neighbour’s house, and reported the incident to police. The teenager was subsequently arrested and a case has been opened.
