A Nigerian man, Nkwo, has stated that a husband impregnating his wife’s maid is not necessarily a reason to end a marriage.
He made the comment following claims by Ada Igbo, a Canada-based Nigerian woman, who accused her estranged husband, Chinedu, of impregnating their maid, Dorcas, while she was in Canada giving birth to their fourth child.
Nkwo argued that Chinedu’s actions alone do not justify leaving the marriage, writing,
“Till tomorrow, that’s not enough reason to leave your marriage. It has happened. From the look of things, the man will marry another wife, and many women are already in line.”
