Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio in Freetown ahead of his rescheduled beach concert linked to the ongoing AFCON 2025 celebrations.
The visit forms part of Davido’s 5ive Alive World Tour. The singer described Sierra Leone as his “second home” and promised fans a future stadium concert in the country.
Davido recalled his 2017 performance in Sierra Leone, which he said attracted over 50,000 fans.
President Bio welcomed the artiste warmly, noting the excitement generated by his visit and the anticipation surrounding the concert.
Photos from the meeting have since sparked reactions online, with fans highlighting Davido’s growing global profile following similar high-level engagements this year with Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu and France’s President Emmanuel Macron.
