Iran has issued a warning urging residents and workers in parts of the United Arab Emirates to evacuate areas near major port facilities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Fujairah.
According to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency, people living or working close to key ports—including Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, and the Port of Fujairah—should leave the vicinity immediately.
The agency claimed these locations could be targeted due to the alleged presence of United States military forces operating within or near civilian infrastructure.
“These areas have become legitimate targets because US military forces are present and concealed among civilian installations and will be targeted in the coming hours,” the report stated.
The warning comes amid rising tensions between Iran and Israel following a series of military exchanges, raising fears of a wider regional conflict. The crisis escalated after Israeli strikes hit Iranian facilities tied to its military and nuclear infrastructure, prompting Tehran to threaten retaliation against Israeli and allied interests in the region.
The United States, a key security partner of the UAE, maintains military assets across Gulf states as part of its long-term regional presence. Iranian officials have repeatedly accused Washington of supporting Israeli operations and warned that facilities hosting US forces could become targets if the confrontation escalates.
UAE authorities have not publicly confirmed any evacuation order linked to the Iranian warning, and no official statement has been issued by Emirati officials. Nonetheless, the alert has heightened concerns about the safety of critical shipping and energy infrastructure in the Gulf, particularly around some of the world’s busiest commercial ports.
