Island Boys’ Franky Venegas arrested in Florida

Franky Venegas, one half of the viral rap duo Island Boys, has been arrested again in Florida over alleged drug-related offences, TMZ reports.

The 22-year-old was taken into custody on Wednesday night and booked into the Collier County Jail in Naples on a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia, with a new mugshot released after his arrest.

Authorities said Venegas was denied bond and placed on a 24-hour hold because he is already out on bail from a separate February arrest involving allegations of possessing or selling a firearm with an altered serial number.

In that earlier case, police claimed to have recovered suspected oxycodone, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun without a serial number during a traffic stop. Venegas, who rose to fame in 2021 with the viral song “I’m an Island Boy”, has had several prior run-ins with the law, including arrests for domestic battery, reckless driving, and driving without a valid licence.
