At 38, Messi delivered one of the most impressive attacking performances the league has seen, netting 29 goals and providing 19 assists in just 28 matches. He also set a new all-time record for combined regular-season and playoff goal contributions, reaching 61 overall — including a dominant postseason run that earned him the Finals MVP award.
Messi won the MVP vote by a landslide, securing 70% of the total ballots and finishing far ahead of LAFC’s Denis Bouanga and San Diego FC’s Anders Dreyer to clinch his second straight title.
