Pastor arrested in Bayelsa for hiring cultists to kill rival Prophet

A pastor originally from Delta State, identified as Elijah Oro, has been arrested in Bayelsa State over an alleged plan to assassinate a fellow pastor following disputes linked to church membership and property.

The arrest was carried out by operatives of the Bayelsa State Police Command’s SWAT unit after they received actionable intelligence about the alleged plot.

According to police reports, Pastor Oro is accused of recruiting a 21-year-old man, Samuel Daniel, said to be a member of the Greenlanders cult group, to carry out the attack on the rival pastor. The plan was reportedly thwarted before any violence occurred, and both individuals are currently in police custody.
