Ambassador Faith Agada has been named Outstanding Woman in Women’s Health and Safety Advocacy at the 5th edition of the Women in Leadership Awards organised by the United Nations Association of Nigeria (UNA-Nigeria).

The award ceremony, held at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, brought together top leaders, policymakers, and development practitioners focused on advancing gender equality and social impact across the country.

Agada emerged winner from nearly 300 applicants nationwide, beating three other finalists in her category—an achievement that underscores her growing impact in promoting the health, safety, and dignity of women and girls.

Based in Abuja, she is a development practitioner, project manager, and gender advocate, currently serving as Executive Director of Fadora Champions Initiative for Advocacy and Social Impact.
Through the organisation, she leads initiatives addressing women’s health across all life stages, while also tackling gender-based violence, maternal and child health, and community awareness.
She was recently appointed Ambassador for Peace and Human Rights by the Global Socio-economic and Financial Evolution Network (GSFEN) further highlighting her influence in advancing gender equality and social justice.
Reacting to the recognition, Agada said:
“This recognition is not just about me — it represents every woman and girl whose health, safety, and dignity must be protected at every stage of life. It is a call to do more, reach further, and ensure no one is left behind.”
She noted that the award reflects the collective efforts of partners and communities, while stressing the need for greater investment and collaboration in women’s health and safety.
The Women in Leadership Awards by UNA-Nigeria continues to celebrate outstanding women driving change and promoting a more inclusive and equitable society across Nigeria.
