Tension erupted in Taraba State after an angry mob descended on a police officer accused of killing his 11-year-old nephew and secretly burying the child.
According to eyewitness accounts, residents became suspicious after the boy was declared missing and later traced to the officer’s compound. Community members reportedly confronted the officer, who was alleged to have confessed to killing the boy over an undisclosed dispute.
