Nigerian media personality and actress, Toke Makinwa, has shared her perspective on cheating, stating that women are just as involved in infidelity as men, if not more.
Speaking on a recent episode of her Toke Moments podcast, Toke argued that women tend to cheat more than men but are often better at concealing it. According to her, infidelity comes more easily to women because they do not have to invest as much money, time, or effort as men typically do.
She explained that this belief has influenced how she views cheating in relationships, noting that while infidelity is no longer an automatic dealbreaker for her, it still comes with certain conditions. Toke clarified that her stance does not encourage cheating but reflects a broader understanding of human behavior.
Questioning societal narratives, she said cheating is often unfairly framed as a male-only issue, adding that women also have ample opportunities to be unfaithful. She noted that while men often go out of their way to cheat, women are usually the ones being approached, making it easier for them.
Toke further stated that a woman’s faithfulness is often a result of self-discipline rather than lack of opportunity. She concluded by emphasizing that women cheat just as much, if not more, than men, but tend to be far more discreet about it.
