Kenneth Okonkwo, spokesperson for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential campaign of Atiku Abubakar, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not secure victory in the 2027 presidential election.
Okonkwo made the assertion during an interview with Symfoni TV, insisting that Tinubu’s tenure would come to an end after the 2027 election.
According to the former Nollywood actor-turned-politician, the political environment is favourable for Atiku to emerge victorious at the polls.
Okonkwo also criticised the Tinubu administration, describing it as the worst government in Nigeria’s history and alleging that the President would struggle to win any state without electoral manipulation.
He recalled the 2023 presidential campaign, noting that the opposition faced the election without the support of a sitting governor or significant political structure.
“When we campaigned for the 2023 general elections, we had no governor. We had nothing, and Tinubu did not win more states than us.”
He further claimed that the current political situation gives the ADC and its presidential candidate a clear path to victory in 2027.
“Now that he is the worst President Nigeria has ever had, do you think he will win any state without rigging? Tinubu will not win any state. So the path to victory is very clear. And by the grace of God, we will win,” he said.
Okonkwo’s comments come as political parties and their candidates intensify preparations and consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
