A Senior Magistrate Court has ordered the remand of a private school teacher, identified as Uncle Kamal, over allegations of sexual abuse involving four minors aged between five and seven years.
The victims — seven-year-old sisters Hassana, Hussaina, and Gambo, along with their five-year-old sibling — are all children of the same mother and pupils at Al-Hadeed Private School in Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State.
Prosecuting counsel, Badamasi Gandu, told the court that the children’s mother first noticed one of the girls bleeding and, after questioning them, all four alleged they were sexually abused by their teacher.
He further stated that medical reports confirmed the minors had been sexually assaulted prior to the suspect’s arraignment.
The magistrate subsequently ordered that the defendant be remanded in custody and adjourned the case until June 6 for further hearing.
