The Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has declared that no amount of money not even one billion dollars could entice him into partisan politics.
Oyedepo made the remark while speaking to worshippers during the impartation service at the church’s annual Shiloh 2025 convocation, where he urged members to remain steadfast in their divine calling rather than pursuing paths outside God’s purpose for their lives.
He emphasized that political involvement falls outside his life’s assignment, saying, “Partisan politics is not part of my calling. Even if I’m offered $1 billion to join politics, I won’t, because it’s not my course.”
The cleric also recalled warnings he had previously given to the church, noting that events had unfolded as foretold. “I warned the church in 2015 that difficult times were ahead. Didn’t those troubles come?” he asked.
Oyedepo added that the world is facing deepening crises that require divine solutions, citing Romans 8:19 to say the world is “groaning in darkness” and awaiting the manifestation of God’s children. He stressed that believers who remain committed to their God-given purpose would be empowered to offer solutions to national and global challenges, likening such individuals to biblical figures like Joseph and Daniel.
