Rapper Future’s baby mama claims he hasn’t seen their son in over a year

Future is facing new allegations from his ex-girlfriend Brittni Mealy, who claims he has not seen their 13-year-old son, Prince, in over 16 months amid an ongoing legal dispute.

In a letter dated April 7, 2026, submitted in court, Mealy rejected claims that she prevented the rapper from seeing their son. She insisted she had not restricted access in any way, alleging that Future has neither visited nor maintained meaningful contact, including checking on the child’s education, health, or wellbeing.

Mealy further claimed that the rapper has missed important moments such as birthdays and school events, despite having direct means of communication with Prince. She also alleged that Future distanced himself intentionally, including changing his phone number and instructing those around him not to facilitate contact.

The dispute is part of a broader legal battle, which also includes claims that Future failed to comply with a court order to secure a $500,000 life insurance policy for their son. His legal team has denied this, stating the policy was obtained. Mealy added that he only responds when issues become public, suggesting his actions are driven more by image than parental duty.
