Davido’s father has, in a recent interview, disclosed startling details surrounding the ongoing DNA demand by an alleged daughter, Anu.
Reacting publicly for the first time to the paternity claim involving his son, Afrobeats star Davido, Adedeji Adeleke revealed new information following repeated calls for a DNA test.
Addressing the issue at a press conference in Lagos on Wednesday, the billionaire businessman stated that several DNA tests have been conducted, all of which confirmed that the 12-year-old girl, Anuoluwapo, is not Davido’s child.
Mr. Adeleke described the ongoing rumors and claims for fresh DNA test from Anu as well as netizens as unnecessary and provided the following details:
Multiple Tests: He revealed that five separate DNA tests have been conducted to verify paternity. According to him, every result has proven that Davido is not the father.
Davido’s Stance: He emphasized that while Davido has never denied any of his biological children, the singer cannot be expected to take responsibility for a child that is not his.
Concern for the Child: Mr. Adeleke noted that regardless of the dispute, the young girl deserves to know who her true father is.
Secret Financial Support: Despite the negative DNA results, Mr. Adeleke revealed that he supported the child financially for years out of kindness.
Hidden Payments: He disclosed that up until last year, he regularly sent money to Anuoluwapo’s aunt for the child’s school fees and general upkeep.
Verification: He ensured the money was used correctly by requiring the aunt to send back receipts and proof of purchase.
Kept from Davido: Mr. Adeleke stated, “I did not discuss it with David or anybody,” confirming that the singer was unaware of these payments.
