Comrade Andyson Iji Egbodo, President of the Igede Youth Council, has declared his intention to lead a mass protest to the National Assembly to demand full accountability from the leadership of the House of Representatives over a missing trailer-load of fertilizer meant for the Igede people.
In a strongly worded statement, Egbodo specifically called out Hon. David Ogewu, insisting that the lawmaker must explain the whereabouts of the agricultural supplies reportedly allocated for his constituency.
According to Egbodo, the fertilizer consignment—intended to support local farmers—never reached its beneficiaries, raising serious concerns of diversion and mismanagement.
He vowed that he would not step down as President of the Igede Youth Council until the matter is resolved, stressing that leadership change will only happen after justice is served.
“I will hand over this leadership only when the truth is uncovered and the fertilizer meant for Igede people is accounted for,” he stated.
Egbodo said the planned protest will be peaceful but firm, aimed at compelling the National Assembly to intervene and ensure the alleged diversion is thoroughly investigated.
The Igede Youth Council is expected to mobilize youths, civic groups, and community stakeholders for the march in the coming days as tension builds around the unresolved controversy.
